How to use Piano Virtual smoothly.

This guide explains common controls, audio startup behavior, browser compatibility, and support options for Piano Virtual users.

Start with one interaction

Most browsers prevent websites from playing sound automatically. If you do not hear audio immediately, click or tap a key, pad, button, or deck first. This user interaction gives the browser permission to start the audio engine.

Choose the correct instrument page

Use the header menu to open Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Turntable, or Sound FX. Each page is focused, and keyboard shortcuts only respond to the active studio page. This prevents the Piano from playing while you are using the Drums page, or the Sound FX pads from triggering on a different instrument page.

Use presets intentionally

Every instrument includes presets. Presets change the tone, envelope, texture, effect behavior, or playing style. For practice, start with a clean preset. For creative exploration, try lo-fi, cinematic, analog, or wide-space options.

No sound troubleshooting

  • Check device volume and browser tab volume.
  • Turn off silent mode on mobile devices.
  • Disconnect or reconnect Bluetooth audio devices.
  • Try Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
  • Reload the page after changing audio output devices.
